Using Augmented Reality in the Classroom

Give students the ability to view 2D and 3D images side-by-side

Sometimes, a 2D image just isn’t enough to grasp the relationship of anatomical structures. Now students can see 2D and 3D images side-by-side through our interactive 3D models from Complete Anatomy and our 2D images from Gray’s Atlas of Anatomy within ClinicalKey for medical schools which allows them to explore, engage and develop a deeper understanding through interactive images.

  • SAVE TIME – Students can easily discover and interact with content on their own, saving educators valuable time and effort by promoting self-directed learning.
  • REMOVE LEARNING BIASES – Students may initially view an image inside a textbook and think they fully understand it, when in reality, they don’t. With the 2D and 3D images side-by-side, students can quickly see what else there is to learn.
  • SPEED UP LEARNING – Learning materials exist in the same online resource, helping students to remain focused and not get distracted by jumping from one resource to the next.
  • REDUCE COGNITIVE OVERLOAD – Simplifies the learning process by cutting out irrelevant information and providing direct learning pathways between relevant high-quality 2D and 3D content.
